Jim Hourigan - COO , Columbia Crest Consulting Jim Hourigan is the COO of Columbia Crest Consulting and works with many forward thinking companies who are using the environmental issues to their advantage. Jim's objective is to assist organizations develop innovative and cutting edge solutions that help them become more profitable while helping the environment. Hourigan has also held executive management positions with GF Health Products, Inviro Medical, Medline and SSL and has global experience in sales, operations, manufacturing and global supply chains. Hourigan received his MBA with concentrations in Marketing and Operations from the University of Dallas and his BS in Business from the State University of New York. He has also completed extensive executive education programs at INSEAD in Paris and at Ashridge in London. In addition he is CIRM certified by The Association for Operations Management (APICS). He has also co-authored a book "The Castle" about the challenges of implementing ERP business systems.

Andrew Winston - Co-author of Green to Gold and Founder, Winston Eco-Strategies

Andrew Winston is a globally recognized expert on green business and the co-author of the best-seller Green to Gold. He is also the author of the upcoming Green Recovery, a guide to using environmental thinking to survive the downturn, thrive when things get better, and dominate for years to come. Andrew is dedicated to helping companies use environmental strategy to grow and create enduring value for their communities, customers, employees, and shareholders. He bases his work on significant in-company experience; his earlier career included advising companies on corporate strategy while at Boston Consulting Group and management positions in strategy and marketing at Time Warner and MTV.

After these more traditional roles, Andrew served as the Director of the Corporate Environmental Strategy Project at Yale’s renowned School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Today he advises the world’s biggest companies – including Bank of America, Pepsi, HP, and Boeing – and speaks to many thousands of people around the world, acting as a practical evangelist for the benefits of going green. Andrew received his BA in Economics from Princeton, an MBA from Columbia, and a Masters of Environmental Management from Yale.

Mitchell Greenberg - Manager, SmartWay Transport Programs, US Environmental Protection Agency Mitch created and currently manages EPA's SmartWay Transport Programs, public-private partnerships designed to create greater demand for cleaner, more sustainable goods movement. Primary responsibilities include evaluating the performance of fuel saving truck technology and new truck designs and identifying business models, financing structures, and marketing strategies to accelerate these technologies into the marketplace. Mitch has over 18 years of experience in engineering, marketing, and program development. Prior to SmartWay, Mitch managed EPA's Voluntary Diesel Retrofit Program and has worked on light-duty vehicle, on-highway and off-road engine emissions compliance programs. Mitch received his bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1990.

Rick D. Blasgen - President and Chief Executive Officer , Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Rick D. Blasgen is the president and chief executive officer of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in Lombard, Illinois, USA. CSCMP was formerly known as the Council of Logistics Management (CLM).

Blasgen began his career with Nabisco, working in a regional customer service center in Chicago, Illinois. While at Nabisco, he held various logistics positions of increasing responsibility in inventory management, order processing, and transportation and distribution center operations management. Blasgen became vice president, supply chain, at Nabisco in June 1998, then vice president supply chain for Kraft in June 2002. He joined ConAgra Foods in August 2003 as senior vice president integrated logistics.

Throughout the past 25 years, Blasgen has devoted much of his time to furthering a number of company’s supply chain management programs and initiatives. This experience has given him a solid foundation for his role at CSCMP.

Blasgen has been a member of CSCMP’s Board of Directors, and is a past president of the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). He is a past chair of the Grocery Manufacturers Association Logistics Committee and a member of Northwestern University’s Transportation Center Business Advisory Committee. Blasgen is a 1983 graduate of Governors State University, earning his degree in business administration and majoring in finance.

Jeff Rodgers - Associate, World Resources Institute

Jeff Rodgers is an Associate in the Markets & Enterprise Program at the World Resources Institute. His research focuses on water quality and water scarcity, cost drivers in global supply chains and the implications of environmental trends on supply chains and investments. Before WRI, Jeff worked for several years in operations and supply chain management for a water utilities construction firm doing development projects in the southern Pacific. He also has experience teaching and conducting research at the University of Hawaii. Jeff is an MBA graduate from Georgetown University and has a BA in Communications from Michigan State University.

Pankaj Bhatia - Director, GHG Protocol Initiative , World Resources Institute

Pankaj Bhatia is the director of the GHG Protocol Initiative within WRI’s Climate, Energy, and Pollution Program (CEP). A world's leading expert on carbon accounting and management, Pankaj has global responsibility for the development and implementation of GHG Protocol standards, tools, and programs with a mission to facilitate effective management of business climate change risks and impacts. In this role, he has driven GHG Protocol's partnerships with leading initiatives such as the ISO, The Climate Registry, USEPA Climate Leaders, CDP, national programs in China, India, and Brazil and led the launch of the new GHG Protocol’s supply chain initiative to develop product and scope 3 carbon footprint standards. Prior to joining WRI in 2001, Pankaj served as vice president of Tata Energy & Resources Institute, Arlington, Virginia and worked for The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), India. At TERI he was involved in the implementation of the Montreal Protocol in India. He holds a Masters in process engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Nari Viswanathan - Vice President and Principal Analyst , Aberdeen Group Nari Viswanathan is Vice President and Principal Analyst for the Aberdeen Group's Supply Chain Planning Practice. Nari Viswanathan heads up the supply chain planning practice and counsels enterprises on their supply chain planning strategies in areas such as sales and operations planning, demand management, inventory management, network design, and customer/ supplier collaboration with specific emphasis on financial performance. Nari also covers the Software as a Service, B2B collaboration and process integration coverage areas. Nari is part of the SCM research team, and possesses a very strong understanding of adjacent supply chain areas like TMS, WMS and Distributed Order Management.

Nari’s current role includes creating a research agenda for the SCP practice for a rolling period of 18 months, vetting and finalizing the research calendar, supporting advisory clients, developing benchmark reports, developing an enterprise advisory council and advising on vendor go to market strategies. A special focus for Nari is Industry Vertical research. Key vertical industries managed within the practice include Discrete (Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Aerospace and Defense), Process (Chemicals/Pharmaceuticals, Metals, Oil, Gas), Consumer Industries (Apparel, Footwear, Consumer Packaged Goods, Consumer Durables, Retail, Distribution), High-tech sector (Computer Equipment and Peripherals, Semiconductors).

Nari is a well recognized industry expert with extensive experience across product management/marketing, consulting, solution design/development and presales. Nari recently gained industry recognition as a Pro to Know by Supply Demand Chain Executive Magazine. Nari has also published extensively in magazines like SCMR, GLSCS, Supply Demand Chain Executive, Internet Retailer, Industry Week etc.

Previous to joining Aberdeen Group, Nari was a senior product manager at i2 Technologies. Past experience includes a multi-year change management and IT enablement initiative at a large automotive manufacturer in Asia and process re-engineering of a large North American distribution network. Nari's business process and technology expertise includes demand management, manufacturing management, and demand fulfillment.

Nari holds a masters degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nari also holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

Bruce Rayner - Founder, GreenSupplyLine.com Bruce Rayner has been covering the business of electronics for over 20 years as a journalist, editor, conference organizer, researcher, and consultant. He was vice president of consulting and market research at Technology Forecasters Inc., a California-based provider of manufacturing and environmental consulting services to leading electronics corporations. Prior to TFI, Bruce was editorial director of EBN and Electronics Supply & Manufacturing, both CMP Media LLC publications.

In 2005 he launched CMP’s GreenSupplyLine.com website, which is dedicated to the coverage of green technology and environmental issues as they pertain to electronics. Stephen Stokes - Vice President, Sustainability and Green Technologies, AMR Research Dr. Stephen Stokes brings over 20 years of experience working at the interface of climate change, research, teaching, and consultancy to AMR Research. His primary responsibility is guiding companies in understanding risks and exploring opportunities presented by the challenges of climate change and sustainability. Stephen additionally contributes to aspects of research and advisory services in the mining and industrial chemicals sectors.

Before joining AMR Research, Stephen worked as a Resources and Environmental Manager at Perry Resources Ltd. He also served as CEO and Executive Director at Andrew.Stewart Holdings Ltd, which provides advisory, IT solutions, planning, and carbon management services to business interests and local government in Australasia.

Stephen earned his MSc in Earth Sciences from the University of Waikato, his MBA from the University of Auckland, and his Doctorate in Climate Change and Applied Physics from the University of Oxford.
