Paul Comey - Vice President of Environmental Affairs, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Paul Comey is Vice President of Environmental Affairs for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. His responsibilities include assuring the company’s sites are in environmental compliance with all local, state and federal laws, reducing the environmental impact of the company’s operations, and contributing to the management of the company’s environmental, financial and social bottom lines.

Paul has a vision of accelerating Green Mountain Coffee’s leadership in the environmental arena by using climate change as a competitive advantage. His initial efforts to map the company’s environmental footprint have resulted in significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. He sees the company’s commitment to GHG reduction and mitigation as essential to the company’s core belief that business can be a change agent in the world. Paul has initiated programs and processes that exhibit his belief that environmental practices are typically best business practices. His focus on the four R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover) through the use of EMS (Environmental Management System) has diverted much of the waste stream resulting in a financial revenue stream. Paul shares the company’s environmental best practices through public speaking engagements and by testifying before state and federal agencies to influence environmental policies.

Prior to joining Green Mountain Coffee in 1993, Paul founded and managed Baseline Solutions, a consulting company focused on bottom line improvements in manufacturing operations, pollution compliance, equipment design and process layout. During this time, GMCR was a major client for Baseline Solutions. Paul graduated from Boston State College with a major in sociology and a minor in education. After teaching for four years he was awarded a fellowship to Fitchburg State College, earning an ME.

Christina De Luca - Chief Procurement Officer, BP Chris De Luca graduated from Drexel University, Philadelphia PA, in 1984 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. In 2002, she was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford University where she earned a Masters Degree in Business Management.

Chris joined the Atlantic Richfield Company, (ARCO), at their Philadelphia refinery in 1984, as a Process Engineer and spent the early part of her career working in a variety of roles in refining, strategy development, project and change management. The transformation of the US oil industry in the early 1980’s resulted in her employer changing from ARCO to Atlantic Refining Company, to Sunoco and gave her personnel insight to varied organizational and management models. In 1991, she joined AMOCO in Chicago and, as a result of the BP/Amoco merger, she came to work for the new BP. In 2000, she became Vice President of Manufacturing, Supply, & Trading for BP Southern Africa and was appointed to the Board of BP Southern Africa later that year. In 2002 Chris assumed the position of General Manager of Planning & Performance Management for the Refining & Marketing Segment of BP plc. In late 2003 she accepted the position of General Manager of Management Information and developed the forward strategy for process improvement for the Segment. In April of 2005 she took on the role of CPO for the Refining & Marketing Segment of BP. Her responsibilities include the procurement of all non-hydrocarbon spent, totaling over $15B as well as oversight for the businesses purchase to pay processes.

Chris and her husband Michael have been married for 21 years, have two daughters, and are currently residing in North London.

Steve M. Ward, Jr. - Retired, CEO, Lenovo

Stephen M. Ward, Jr., is the retired CEO of Lenovo and on the Board of Directors for E2open, as well as the Audit and Strategy committees of Carpenter Technology, a specialty metals company, selling to the Medical and Aero industries. As CEO of Lenovo, Ward established the global management team, the strategy, and the operational structure of this leading high technology company. Prior to joining Lenovo and acquiring IBM's PC business, Ward was the senior vice president and general manager of IBM's Personal Systems Group, responsible for IBM's Retail Store Solutions Division, IBM's Printing Systems Division, and IBM's Personal Computing Division. In his 26 years with IBM, he held a number of key product development, manufacturing management, and senior management positions, including leading the IBM ThinkPad product line. Ward also held positions as the leader of IBM's Worldwide sales for all Industrial, Electronics, Chemical, and Aerospace companies, and was chief information officer of IBM. As CIO, Ward established IBM's information technology and business process direction and advised many IBM customers on their business transformations. Ward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo.

Thomas L. Dadmun - Vice President, Program Management Office, ADTRAN Tom has recently taken on the role of Vice President, Program Management Office at Adtran architecting enterprise wide process, systems and solutions for the company. Prior to this Tom was the Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for Adtran and was responsible for end to end supply chain functions including demand supply planning, all forecasting processes, masterscheduling, production control, procurement of raw material and related purchases, outsource manufacturing, distribution, order fulfillment, transportation and logistics, and shipping and receiving. Also, the development and redesign of Adtran’s supply chain architecture, coordinated with IT functions, falls under his responsibility. Tom has held various senior positions in Materials, Operations, Manufacturing and Finance at Compaq Computer Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation, Control Logic Inc. and RCA in the following roles: Director Supply Chain Operations, Director World Wide Module Manufacturing, Director of Strategic Alliances, Plant Manager Module Manufacturing, Plant Manager Field Service Manufacturing and Repair, Group Controller America’s Manufacturing, Group Controller Puerto Rico Manufacturing. He has spoken on Supply Chain Management at APIC’s, Council for Logistics Management, Institute of Supply Management and various Supply Chain Forums.
